the photos andy put in the creative thread by robert frank made me and alice start talking about our favourite creative people, and we thought we would make a thread for their worship!


my favourite photographer at the moment is jerry uelsman;

this looks like it is done on the computer, but he actualy spends hours and even days in the darkroom using multiple negatives and englargers to create these pieces.

my favourite designers are jonathon barnbrook;

and alan fletcher;


i really do love banksy;

although i must admit i am being put off of his work by all the people who think it makes them cool and creative to put 'ohmygod i so love banksy' all over their myspace profiles.

and my favourite arists HAS to be rothko;

me and alicey can go to the tate modern and just sit on one of the benches in the rothko room for ages, just looking at his pieces.

well, i already mentioned Robert Frank, so the second obvious one would be Henri Cartier-Bresson




totally obsessed about Man Ray too, i want to get a dog just to name it after him
most of his images include nudes so i'll restrain myself from posting those, but do google him cause he's absolutely marvellous

I like that, but it makes me feel a bit pervyyy :/

yeahhh, he does a lot with couples. a lot of it is quite seductive, but i, personally, don't really see it as that. when i look at it i see his own style, i see a good piece of art rather than what it depicts. i think that's what art's all about really, it's not just about what you see immediately.
